Maleficia is a Brutal Death Metal Band from Nicaragua. They represent the hardest and the darkest lyrics in Spanish languaje against Catholic Church and their depravities. With more than 15 years of career their gigs are very popular in Central America. Now they are on tour and soon they will bring us new tracks.

Maleficia is a Death Metal Band, What do you prefer Technical Death Metal or Brutal Death Metal?
Venom: Death Metal Band
MVB: Talk about your favourite bands and influences? What is your inspiration for Maleficia lyrics?
Venom: Our influences are all the Old School Death Metal and our lyrics are against the morbid and corrupted Catholic Church and relative religions.
MVB: Why did you choose the Maleficia name?
Venom: Because it is a name which represents powerful and esoteric art.
MVB: We know Maleficia was a very active band through 1.996 to 2.007. What do you remember about the early years?
Venom: We were young and very irresponsible, but it was a good time.
MVB: After 4 years of break, how Maleficia lives this new era since 2.011?
Venom: It was easy to adapt, because everyone was still linked separately to the music in that time and when we returned this generation doesn't really welcomed us.
MVB: What do you think about the Internet and social networks for the metal bands?
Venom: Fabulous! Metal Bands must take advantage of it.
MVB: Tell us about Central American metal scene?
Venom: In Nicaragua and Central America is a little hard, people will not be left out of concerts but metal flame still alive.
MVB: How important is for Maleficia to play gigs in other Central American countries?
Venom: It is very important to represent our country, disclosure and promotes our job as a Nicaraguan band.
MVB: In your opinion, which metal bands, are the most representative from Central American metal scene?
Venom: Colemesis (Costa Rica). Cripta (Nicaragua). Delirium (Honduras).
MVB: What represent for you organized the Metalnica fest?
Venom: We have organized and co organized events and this is very important for us as much as Maleficia and other bands which are giving to know their material.
MVB: What can expect your fans from your next album titled “Decimosexto”?
Venom: We think this album will be better and professional than the others, more aggressive, crude with direct lyrics and will be a well renovated Maleficia.
MVB: Tell us about your future plans.
Venom: Finish our next album “Decimosexto” and promo national tour and Central America in 2015, two official videos.

Biography
Maleficia born on November 2nd, 1996, they are precursors of Death metal in Nicaragua also recently they started a band called Legion,
Maleficia organized gigs as METALNICA and METALNICA II, sharing stage with local bands and including Central American bands as Blasphemy (Honduras) Mandrake (Costa Rica) and Crypt, Lemurs and Ancestral.
The band had a break of 4 years between 2.007 to 2.011 when Cajina Danny left the band, in 2.011 Johnny Eduardo decided to get back the band with a new line up.
Maleficia recorded his album “El Martillo de las Brujas” (The Hammer of Witches, 2.012), which is a compilation of their best recorded studio tracks. Also they were invited on March to the legendary gig Euforia Metal Live, after that they started a national tour with guest band Armored From Beyond.
On January of 2.013 Maleficia Recorded a video track called “Brutal Eclocion”, this video track was produced by Viva Nicaragua Canal 13.
On this year (2014) they are producing a new album “Decimosexto”.
